New Burlington House

New Burlington House is a Grade II* listed building in the heart of the West End of London.  It is a unique cultural institution, constructed in the 19th Century to provide purpose built accommodation for the Learned Societies (The Royal Society of Chemistry, The Royal Astronomical Society, The Geological Society, The Linnean Society, and The Society of Antiquaries).

Capital Real Estate Partners were appointed by the Learned Societies to advise on their complex existing lease arrangements and to negotiate with the freeholder, the UK Government, to secure a new arrangement which provided long term stability and affordability for the Learned Societies.  Following extensive discussions with the freeholder, we were able to agree the acquisition of a new 999 year lease at a peppercorn rent which secures Burlington House as a long-term home for the Learned Societies.
